CARNIVAL
Mirim's Carnival Parade follows the same pattern as the schools of the access and special group: plot, carnival commission, samba plot, board, front commission, wings, allegories, floats, master room and flag bearer, interpreter , drum master and passista. And it takes about one thousand to three thousand - including people with disabilities - members by association for Marquês de Sapucaí.
In each school's atelier, AESM Rio offers workshop activities as a form of artistic initiation and complementary education.

To expand these activities in the communities, we seek sponsorships to hire teachers, monitors in the 16 communities, cleaning assistants and a pedagogical coordinator.

All activities are offered free of charge.
Target audience: children and adolescents, from 5 to 17 years old.
Ensure that during the workshop and preparation process everyone is taking the necessary precautions against COVID-19. From hygiene to protection with masks.
Offer work and income opportunities to community professionals.
Promote knowledge and learning opportunities.
Monitor students' school attendance.
The use of project vests and t-shirts is mandatory in the workshops.

AESM-RIO
Founded on June 26, 2002, the entity representing the junior samba schools in Rio de Janeiro has 16 associations.
In view of the Statute of Children and Adolescents, the work aims to promote social inclusion in accordance with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development - United Nations (UN).
AESM- Rio is a non-profit civil society of a social, recreational, educational, carnival, cultural and philanthropic nature. And its mission is to use samba as a tool to educate and help preserve our greatest culture.
